There was a 4H party for Coles/Cumberland county at a local roller skating rink last Sunday. It was the first time my kiddos had ever been skating in a rink. I think they had a good time. How nice they have the support walkers!

I did pretty darn good! :) Took me back to 6th grade, when my boyfriend looked like Alfred E Neuman from MAD magazine. My dad would pick us up at the skating rink at the end of the night, sometimes giving my boyfriend a a ride home. We would sit in the backseat, in the dark, and secretly hold hands. About 10 years ago, I had a job taking a girl out to increase her socialization skills. She liked to go roller skating a lot. So, it has not been 25+ years since I practiced, just 10. ;) Yeah, the skates are the SAME! Games to play, the nasty bathrooms. Just skating into the bathroom on the skates brought back slippery memories! lol Fun.
